The Commute

I'm really sorry it's taken so long, but what with work and falling sick and this abomination of a time-sucking webcomic, I'm exhausted. That and the lure of a paycheck.

  1. George says:

Dang! It’s hard to ditch work when there’s no place to go. Great work!

  2. Jackson says:

Love that shot of the monorail over the ocean. The buildup to it is excellently-timed, too.

    • speearr says:

Generous praise there, Jackson. It’s getting hard to maintain standards though lol…

      • Jackson says:

Believe me–as a cartoonist, I know. Some days you really wanna make supremely kick-ass artwork, and others you’re just clocking in for the day. Good artwork takes time, too…

  3. I agree with Jackson … this is just unbelievably beautiful work … absolutely stunning!

  4. John K says:

“I agree with the above about the ocean shot, but Dang, that last panel is just truly inspired!!

  5. muddlecreek says:

It’s as they say in that old Police song.. “like lemmings in shiny metal boxes…”

  6. D. Long says:

Wow, nice closing quote. (looks around cubicle and sighs)

  7. Nate Fakes says:

I would’ve just hopped through the glass into whatever it is I land on! Day jobs, yeaeaccch!

  8. Phillyzero says:

Agreed with Jackson, the ocean looks lovely.

  9. speearr says:

Going to work would be a whole lot more fun if my office had ocean views…

  10. jynksie says:

I have ocean views of Boston harbor! *grin* *smirk* *sticks out tongue*

By the way, I’ve decided that YOU mr. comic t. creator should do a tutorial on coloring a comic! Ponder it!

I’m really sorry it’s taken so long, but what with work and falling sick and this abomination of a time-sucking webcomic, I’m exhausted. As proof I’m working hard, I think I’ll scan all the draft pages I made and rejected and send them to you along with the finished product, when (if) it’s done….
