Comic for 2009/11/09: First Destination

First Destination

Man, I’m so excited!

Part II of Terence N. Tijuana ends in 2 weeks, and we’ll enter Part III, which you can probably guess will take place on the Moon!

Most of Part II plays out onboard the Terence N. Tijuana Spaceship, and while it was interesting to portray the interior of the ship, I’m really looking forward to a change in scenery to something less claustrophobic! I hope you guys are really anticipating this.

Part III is where we’ll learn the mission of the crew, and eventually, each individual’s motivations and aspirations. Plus, there’ll be hand combat scenes (as opposed to the brief robot-wars a few updates previously).

Part III also marks the point where I’m gonna start promoting the comic through ads etc in order to increase readership. If you like Terence N. Tijuana, feel free to campaign for me through word of mouth, which I think is the most valuable help I can get.

Also, before I get too far ahead of myself, here’s a shot of the bridge of the Terence N. Tijuana, as seen previously in this comic. Most of today’s comic takes place within this room:

  1. John K says:

Oh I can’t wait to see what you do with the moon!

  2. Hey, if that dustbuster were outside the ship it would it be like … a vacuum in a vacuum – er, something like that! :)

  3. George says:

I’m on pins and needles waiting for you to moon everyone.

    Did I say that right?

  4. I agree with George, I can’t wait to see the next phase. Not to say, of course, my interest in the ship has waned.
Awesome diagram of the bridge, btw. Did you do that in Google Sketch-Up or the like?

    • speearr says:

Lol Chris full of double entendres…

I’ve heard of Google Sketch-Up, but never tried it out. Actually, the bridge was designed entirely by hand on a piece of paper with my trusty 0.5 2b mechanical pencil and eraser. I messed up the perspective because I don’t have a ruler :(

  5. Spencey says:

Love it. And don’t think that ‘Return to Solitaire’ went unnoticed! Medals and commendations all round!

  6. muddlecreek says:

I hope they’re not landing on the dark side of the moon… we won’t be able to see anything…

  7. Nate Fakes says:

Are they going to put a flag up? I can see conspiracy theories already that they’re all in Arizona!

  8. jynksie says:

Hmmm… now that they have reached the moon, maybe they can answer that old conspiracy theory as to whether the U.S. was ever -really- on THAT moon!! Are the footsteps there, is the flag? And the man in the moon, who is he and did he see that cow that jumped over him?!?

    • speearr says:

Maybe they’ll make a trip to the Lunar Museum and maybe there’ll be an exhibit there on the Armstrong landing or maybe there won’t be…
